Here at Gelatissimo, we believe life should be celebrated every day with the people you care about. From the little moments to big milestones, we want to be there with you, because life tastes better with gelato!
Our story began in 2002 where our first store opened in the heart of Sydney, Australia. The word-of-mouth spread, and before long, there were queues out the door!
In 2022, we launched into the United States with our first location in Houston, Texas. November saw us open our second USA location in Waikiki, Hawaii. We also have stores globally, including in Australia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Saudi Arabia.
Our artisan gelato is made fresh in-store daily, with only the best ingredients. As well as our innovative flavors and indulgent ranges, we’re passionate about providing a range of vegan-friendly, non-dairy, and made without gluten options to suit all.
Meet our Master Franchisees
People are just as much a part of the Gelatissimo brand as the gelato, and their combined passion for making happiness happen is a vital ingredient to our success.
Our first Master Franchisees in the U.S. are Phanary and Simon, from Houston TX. After falling in love with the visual presentation, quality of ingredients, flavor, and texture of Gelatissimo’s gelato, they wanted to be part of the journey of bringing Gelatissimo to the U.S.
They opened their first store at the end of 2022 at Baybrook Mall in Friendswood, Houston to queues of eager customers looking to indulge in the decadent gelato they’d crafted and their store continues to grow in sales and awareness around Houston as they look to expand into new locations in the future.

Is this a full-time gig?
If you’re asking if owning a Gelatissimo means full-time involvement, then the answer is yes and lucky you! Welcome to the greatest job on earth. The responsibility of the Franchisee includes: day to day running of the store, training and development of staff, local marketing activities and financial control. We have observed that stores with owners/operators who are closely involved in the business perform the best. The passion and contribution they bring across various areas is a big factor in maximising the potential of the store. For this reason, we strongly recommended that the owner has a day-to-day involvement in their store.
What support will you receive?
As in all our interactions, Gelatissimo strives to produce consistent smiles from our key strategic partners. As a result, we have proactively equipped our organization with premium franchisee profit-centric systems that are designed to protect our most valuable assets vigilantly – our franchisees.

How long does it take to open a store?
Altogether, we suggest allowing up to 20 weeks. If there is a site and lease available that suits your needs, the build phase is approximately 12 weeks long.

We are best known and celebrated for our delicious award-winning, vegan-friendly Mango sorbet. Featuring Australia’s world famous, juicy Queensland Kensington Pride Mangoes, it’s a refreshing flavor that captures the essence of Summer! It’s been our number 1 flavour for a long period of time, but has more recently been challenged by our signature Salted Macadamia & Dulce De Leche as well as the classic favorite Cookies & Cream.
Choices for All is the centrepiece of our flavour range. We pride ourselves in meeting the demands of the widest possible range of customers and to provide flavors that suit their taste buds and dietary requirements. From the traditional options and family favorites, through to our decadent Deluxe Range, and our healthier low sugar and vegan options, we have over 50 different flavors available to choose from. Such a wide range of flavors means every store can cater and customise precisely to their own market, putting our customers and their preferences first!
